Senior Automation Engineer to be part of a growing Engineering team that is pushing the trends in web application development and testing. We utilize the best tools and technologies to solve real-world problems involving cyber attacks, fraud, and criminal activity. Our customers use our products to collect and fuse data, visualize massive-scale data, deploy built-in analytics and perform investigative analysis and pattern detection. We require someone to help us drive our test automation efforts to ensure the highest quality releases for the customers we support.

Our ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about ensuring our products are released with the highest quality possible, and possesses the skills and drive to further our test automation efforts to achieve this goal.   This is an opportunity to join a product team early in the development of a new, innovative web-based application, providing the ability to drive process improvements and implement automation best practices from the start.  This candidate will not only contribute to the design, development and improvement of test automation frameworks and test suites, but also contribute to quality efforts throughout the software lifecycle including analysis of requirements, identification of test coverage and approach, and documentation of test cases.


•Contributes to the development of and continued improvements to the automation framework(s)

•Contributes to the improvement of automation testing methods, processes and deliverables

•Creates automation test plans and prioritizes testing assignments based on business requirements for each Sprint

•Designs and develops reusable, automated test cases in accordance with coding best practices

•Provides accurate time estimates for user stories and automation test plans for each Sprint

•Partners with Product Management and Delivery teams throughout the SDLC

•Collaborates with peers in QA and Development to share information and resolve issues

•Documents, tracks, and reports on product defects

•Keeps current with testing and quality trends and techniques, tools and processes

•Participates in requirement reviews and design spec reviews to contribute quality requirements and ensure testability

•Participates in automation test plan reviews and code reviews

•Documents automation solutions so they are easily understood and maintainable


•Ability to develop automated testing scripts with Ruby OR Java

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

•1+ year experience contributing to the improvement of automation test frameworks and infrastructure

•3+ years experience designing and implementing test automation

•Experience in contributing to a complex QA automation framework solution

•Solid knowledge of QA process and testing methodology

•Experience in testing and delivering web platforms and applications

•Extensive experience with automation/programming languages & frameworks: Ruby, Watir, Cucumber and Selenium WebDriver

•Experience with REST/SOAP and API Testing

•Ability to identify and document detailed defect reports, and track fixes through to completion

•Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence

•Ability to adapt to changing priorities and technologies in a highly multi-tasked environment

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills

•Excellent problem solving and organizational skills

•Must be self motivated and results driven, with attention to detail and thoroughness

•Must have a hunger for knowledge and drive to increase product and domain expertise

•Must have the ability to identify risks and proactively raise concerns regarding product quality

•Solid experience working in Agile /Scrum teams

•Strong experience collaborating with development, product management and delivery teams throughout the SDLC
