Job Requirements Maintaining the existing network infrastructure; including all IP schemes, as well as routing and switching integrity. Implementation of all new Network related equipment and facilities, while also maintaining the integrity of all networking related equipment. Ensuring and maintaining VPN connection integrity for remote offices and remote personnel. Updating, maintaining, and backing up configurations of all firewalls, switches, and routers. Performing regularly scheduled diagnostics on all networking, voice, and data systems for performance, load, and stability. Supporting the enterprise VOIP phone system through the 3rd party phone system vendor Implements networking and infrastructure projects under the direction of the IT Manager and Director of Hosting Operations according to the established budgets and schedules. Maintains policies and procedures for network and server related administration. Assisting in end user support for the Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, VMWare, and other related application and network related environments. Assistance in maintaining system security, firewall access, Internet monitoring and access, Active Directory permissions, and server user profiles. Supporting desktop applications and hardware. Deploy, monitor, configure and administer Windows servers, Sonic Wall Firewall and Dell Hardware Assist patching Windows Servers Assist creating PowerShell scripts to automate network configuration and monitoring Required Skills and Experience Demonstrated excellent customer service acumen. The ability to successfully work in a team environment while maintaining control over individually assigned tasks and projects. The proven ability to engage in multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously. Must be capable of responding quickly and executing rapidly as an individual and within a team. Willingness to take ownership and responsibility for performance and stability of network. Must be able to use all available resources to solve complex technical problems. Windows Server products, including 2003, 2008, 2008R2 : group-policy configuring and troubleshooting Strong Server virtualization VMWare knowledge PC operating system Windows 7. LAN/WAN architecture, firewalls, routers, and switches Anti-virus and other network protection products. Backup software Network monitoring tools Nagios Strong PowerShell scripting knowledge Qualifications 4 year Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge of current networking protocols and standards, including VOIP. Versed in the Windows Server platform. Hands-on experience in troubleshooting server hardware. Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and exceptional customer service skills. Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Able to conduct research into issues and products as required.
