Compensation: $72,000.00 to $88,000.00 per year

Tarrant County's most sought after employer has partnered with Robert Half to recruit an Accounting Manager after the previously placed by Robert Half candidate received a promotion! Duties include leading coordination and completion of quarterly and annual financial statements reported to management, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and various other regulatory agencies; assisting in facilitation of audits and reviews with external auditors; assisting in technical research on SEC and accounting related issues; supporting the SOX Team coordinator, including responsibility for investigating potential SOX issues and working with business partners to ensure the control environment stays evergreen; and building consensus between inter-departmental groups and presenting issues to Sr. Management; and assists with various ad hoc financial reporting requests and other special projects.

Job Requirements

Ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree in the accounting field (required). CPA preferred. Must have 2+ years experience with the accounting department of a Fortune 1000 company (public accounting experience is preferred). Applicant must possess a solid understanding of public company financial statements and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Experience with the reporting requirements of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is a plus. Applicant must be able to research SEC/accounting issues and conclude on the proper SEC/accounting treatment. Successful candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and communication skills. Successful candidate must be a self-starter, have the ability to meet deadline-oriented tasks and demonstrate the ability to organize team efforts to accomplish common goals.
