Job Description


The Reidsville facility is part of the Envision/Ecoplast Group, a Division of CCC.

We are currently seeking a Group Quality Manager for our Reidsville, NC, Chino and Fontana, California Facilities. The Group Quality Manager reports directly to the Regional Operations Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to the following:

  • Provide regional leadership for continuous improvement resulting in productivity gains from doing it right the first time Ensure that site(s) are in compliance with corporate quality requirements
  • Ensures that testing standards, procedures, and equipment provide reliable results and prevent shipment of off quality products.
  • Ensure control plans are in place and adequate at plants within the region
  • Train, mentor and develop plant personnel in the application of Quality tools (SPC, DOE, Centerlining Process, Control Plans, Problem Solving, etc.)
  • Lead problem-solving and process improvement processes with manufacturing and the customer to achieve resolution and elimination of current product issues
  • Audit company and supplier sites for compliance to national standards for sanitation, product safety, and quality systems
  • Ensure that sites meet external requirements of customers and regulatory agencies

  • Provide for successful new product launches, by ensuring clear specification development, process capability definition, and attainment of customer satisfaction on initial shipments
  • Must be able to travel up to 50%
  • Other duties as assigned by COO

Job Requirements

This position requires a Bachelors degree, or significant experience plus special training.  10 years or more experience in a quality role, 5 years or more experience in a leadership position.

  • LANGUAGE SKILLS:The manager must be able to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, forms and memos and able to complete forms and reports in English. The manager must also be able to interpret and explain policy.


ASQ certification(s) or 6 Sigma Black Belt preferred


  • Understanding of FDA Regulations
  • Some knowledge of plastics and organic chemistry
  • Understanding color matching and color sorting concepts
  • Experience with Gas Chromatography
  • Safe Work Practices                                                                                              
  • Understands quality systems and requirements including ISO
  • Pushes self and others to achieve high levels of performance
  • Converts information into action and improves company performance
  • Understands major aspects of producing products that meet or exceed customer requirements
  • Can teach and mentor others in the fundamentals of problem solving and the use of Quality tools
  • Pushes self and others to achieve high levels of performance
  • Converts information into action and improves company performance
  • Knowledge of statistics, SPC and six sigma
  • Metrology and gage R&R
  • HACCP and GMP
  • Able to manage multiple priorities & meet deadlines
  • Influencing skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Problem solving and root cause analysis
  • Understands the role of Quality in a manufacturing organization
