Job Description

As a Cyber Intrusion Senior Analyst (Information Security Risk Consultant) reporting to the Cyber Security Department, you will be a part of a diversified financial services firm that
reflects the needs, values and goals of our customers, employees, communities
and shareholders.  As an integral part of this dynamic and progressive
team, you will assist in the development, implementation and enforcement of
corporate-wide information security policies, guidelines and best practices.  You will perform network security monitoring for malicious activity and anomalies in order to identify and validate security
incidents, reconstruct network activity and support the incident response
lifecycle. In addition, you will coordinate with a diverse range of PNC
departments to ensure the health and integrity of the PNC enterprise environment. 

Your typical work week will be Monday through Friday during one of three PNC
Security Operations Center (PNC-SOC) shifts. This position will be based in
Pittsburgh, PA.

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications

  • 4+ years of cyber security focused experience.

    Bachelor's degree in information technology, cyber security, intelligence analysis or related field or 7+ years of combined technical and cyber security experience.

  • Solid understanding of core technical concepts such as IT networking, TCP/IP, encryption standards and multiple Operating Systems. mso-fareast-font-family:

    Detailed knowledge of common cyber security incident
    types such as denial of service attacks, malicious software infections,
    active intrusion techniques, and misappropriate use scenarios.  

    New Experience utilizing a Security Information and Event
    Management (SIEM) system and common network monitoring platforms.

    Proven ability to analyze network traffic for malicious
    activity and perform packet analysis.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

    Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    Ability to effectively prioritize tasks.

    Possess an industry recognized certification in cyber security such as GCIA, GCIH, CISSP or similar.

  • Scripting ability in Python and a deep understanding of command line tools such as grep and tcpdump preferred.

    Experience working with Arcsight preferred.
