Vaco Dallas, LLC is seeking qualified IT candidates for a long-term contract engagement for a Jr. Software Engineer role. All applicants must be legally eligible to work in the US, and must not requirement sponsorship for this position. Applicants must be able to pass a background check, employment verification, and a drug screening. Vaco will not provide relocation assistance for this position.
The ideal candidate will present 3-5 years of development experience, preferably within the Retail industry. Candidates must present strong verbal, and written communications skills, as this position will require a great deal of communication via email, as well as working and interacting with other business units.
Must have technical requirements:
- SQL Server 2005-2008 R2, the ability to create queries and extract data in SQL
- Reporting background with strong Excel and/or MS Access.
- The ability to conduct research and troubleshoot applications and databases
- Visual Studio
- Excellent ASP.Net and Classic ASP skills (this is a must)
Preferred technical skills:
Working within a CRM to troubleshoot application issues, reports, and business needs. Strong attention to detail, and the ability to de-bug code issues, program and develop new code, and add new functionality to existing code. This position will support an Application Support Team, and provide immediate technical support when internal systems do down, or applications are experiencing technical problems.
Additional special projects can include working with SQL Server and (2) other proprietary databases to reconcile and research payment history, etc. This position will support an accounting team to ensure all of their financial databases are communicating with one another. There is a great deal of research that goes into this position, so the ideal candidate needs to have an understanding of debits, credits, refunds, etc. An IT retail background is a big plus for this role.
Compensation: $30-35/hr, W-2
