Responsibilities:

We are actively recruiting for a Sr. Software Developer to join our IT .NET group. Our team supports and maintains several mission critical applications, as well as a host of less critical ones.  The candidate will be expected to recommend solutions, provide estimates, write code, create specs, work with team members, and follow process to get the changes tested and moved to production while keeping management informed as to task/project progress.  This person will also work with the support team as issues arise, for troubleshooting/resolution purposes.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 3-5 years of related experience
  • Program in VB.NET and C#, MS.NET Frameworks 2.0+
  • SQL Server 2005/2008, T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS, Oracle 11g, PL/SQL
  • Compact Framework (3.5) preferred
  • HTML/JavaScript (jQuery, MVVM/MVC)
  • Web services (WCF, Web API), WinForms a plus
  • Flex preferred (Eclipse)
  • OOP
  • VB6, MS Access, and TFS a plus
  • Mobile development experience is a plus

Soft Skills:

  • Work with QA, Project Managers, Development Managers, business analysts, and other team members on various tasks needed to accomplish corporate, department, and team objectives.
  • Create documentation appropriate to the intended audience.
  • Follow departmental and team processes relating to code migrations and requests for support.
  • Manage multiple priorities and change as needed to respond to the business.
  • Work independently or in a team environment.
  • Maintain customer relationships.
  • Manage tasks to deadlines.
  • Communicate appropriately with other team members as well as management.
  • Troubleshoot and enhance code which was written by other team members.
  • Mentor Software Developer Level-I and Level-II through knowledge of best practices, experience, code reviews, etc. as opportunities present themselves.
