Job Description

Job Summary: 

The Senior Analyst, Benefits Team HR Operations Liaison is expected to support the Director, Health & Welfare Plans and the CHI Benefits Team acting as the primary liaison to the HR Operations Team. This position will primarily befocused on interacting with and translating benefit strategy into operational requirements on all benefit programs (e.g. health & welfare, wellness andretirement).

Essential Duties:

1.   Support all CHI Benefits Team members by gathering/managing operations requirements for benefit changes

2.   Working closely with the Analyst, HR Transactions and Benefits Integration on transitioning knowledge and responsibilities on defining and documenting benefits requirements for new organizations coming into CHI’s benefit programs

3.   Partnering with HR Operations during the Workday design phases on the transition from the current AonHewitt administration platform during the 2015 plan year

4.   Continued support of defining requirements for future benefits administration on the Workday platform for changes to existing benefits offered or for new organizations initial setup

5.   Provide guidance/oversight to other areas within our HR Operations group such asHRIS/Payroll groups pertaining to any benefit policy or requested future change

6.   Acting as supporting role partnering with HR Operations Benefits Specialist to train CHI call center employees on benefits related items (e.g. policies, rules,programs, etc…)

7.   Fulfill the role as a single point of contact for the HR Operations team, including the CHI support center, to address benefit questions being escalated for all benefit programs that the CHI Benefits Team has responsibility

8.   Partners with CHI Benefits Team members to help consult on policy changes and/or selections for current and new organizations

Job Requirements


Bachelor’sdegree from a four-year college or university or equivalent education andexperience Experience:

Minimum of three years of experience in benefits, with 1 year minimum in project management
Must possess basic benefit (including health and welfare, retirement, PTO)knowledge. In depth knowledge of benefits or other HR matters a plus.
