Job Description

The Manufacturing Manager for Flare Services oversees the production of all flare equipment for the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Industries.  He/she ensures products are delivered on time, on budget and at the highest level of quality.  Key responsibilities include: planning and coordinating manufacturing/production activities, managing the manufacturing budget, supervising manufacturing personnel, maintaining project costs and schedules, managing the manufacturing/production equipment and facility, meeting quality control standards, and ensuring safety policies are followed.   This position reports to the General Manager of Flare Services.
The ideal candidate has a successful track record as a Manufacturing Manager, with a solid understanding of the metal fabrication processes, systems and manufacturing environment.  He/she is highly dedicated and organized, with the ability to set priorities while handling multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting deadlines without sacrificing safety or quality.   This individual demonstrates a high level of interpersonal and communication that enable them to effectively lead and motivate a team.  He/she works collaboratively with others internally and externally in order to meet and exceed internal and external customer expectations.  He/she maintains the highest level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the position. 

•       Plan, coordinate and control fabrication of flares

•       Establish work flow and safe work practices

•       Coordinate and maintain production schedule

•       Supervise manufacturing personnel

•       Ensure HSE and QA/QC policies and practices are followed

•       Oversee hiring, training and performance reviews of manufacturing personnel

•       Identify and implement manufacturing best practices

•       Support efforts to attain and then maintain ISO 9001 and VPP certifications

•       Ensure a proper maintenance program is followed for manufacturing tools and equipment

•       Ensure all materials and supplies are ordered for manufacturing

•       Manage manufacturing/production job costs, budget and schedule

•       Implement company policies and goals

•       Support pre-production planning

•       Assist with special projects or new responsibilities as needed/assigned

•       Minimum 5 years experience in metal fabrication of vessels, tanks or similar manufacturing environment

•       Minimum 3 years experience as a Manufacturing Manager in metal fabrication of vessels, tanks or similar manufacturing environment

•       Proficient in MS Office programs

•       Minimum travel required – approximately 10% or less

•       Experience with flare equipment or similar equipment and systems

•       Experience with attainment and implementation of ISO 9001 and VPP certifications
