Job Title Chief Financial Officer II. Job Summary Responsible for the entire range of financial activity in the company, including accounting functions. Formulates and recommends policies on banking, receipt, expenses, and credit. Responsible for the development of standard accounting, analysis, and reporting procedures. III. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Monitor cash flow and make recommendations for improvement Work with purchasing manager and material handling to optimize use of raw material and Work in Process (WIP) inventory Develop a full understanding of our costs and identify any opportunities to reduce or maximize efficiencies Working very closely with the operations team to ensure pricing on contracts is in line with company profitability and margin targets Identify and implement improvements in monthly and annual reporting processes Review current financing and identify cost saving opportunities Understand current standard costing model and identify opportunities for improvement Produce periodic financial reports and statements as required by management Maintain the accounting journals and ledgers Process all tax, census and insurance reports and payments on a timely basis Act as liaison with the Company's bank and outside accounting firm Reconcile the bank accounts on a timely basis Monitor and post the collection of accounts receivable and report delinquent accounts to the President Calculate salesmen's commissions Train, supervise and monitor the accounting and administrative personnel Work with retirement and health care vendors to optimize these services IV. Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in either accounting and/or finance Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing industry in a finance or accounting role Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Bachelors Administration Degree in accounting or finance CPA or Masters in Business Administration preferred Ability to articulate sophisticated financial information to management
