Summary
 
Provides quotes, starts new business, and rewrite policies, by performing the following duties.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.
 
  • Adheres to all Safe Auto Insurance Company policies and procedures, as outlined in the Associate’s Handbook.
 
  • Follows all policies and procedures of the Sales Department.
 
  • Quotes new business and completes information for customers who wish to start new policies.
 
  • Accepts payments to begin policies.
 
  • Completes education and cancel calls for individual books of business.
 
  • Other, related duties, as assigned.

Qualifications
 
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
 

Job Requirements

-High school education or equivalent and one to two years related experience and/or training.  
  • Language Skills- Ability to read analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports and business correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
 
  • Mathematical Skills-Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
 
  • Reasoning Ability-Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
 
  • Computer Skills-Knowledge of AutoPilot software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software.
 
  • Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations-Resident property and casualty or personal lines license from home state, as well as a non-resident property and casualty or personal lines license in all other states in which Safe Auto operates.
 
  • Other Requirements-Regular, full-time attendance, within company parameters, required.
