Work Location: Camp Humphreys, South Korea
Perform as Information Assurance specialist supporting the 1st Signal Brigade Network Enterprise Center performing IA integration, implementation, and testing activities. Provides security technical documentation, performs analysis of security accreditation documentation, develops IA requirements, drafts test reports, and develops risk mitigation strategies and IA solutions. Troubleshoots and applies Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA), Microsoft, McAfee, Adobe, Java, and other critical software. Perform management for all Area’s computer system’s intrusion detection, data protection, Anti-virus and illegal Software and hardware. Will perform work on and off-site as requested in a leadership role maintaining and operating a suite of network and computer security systems. Responsible for security reviews, baselines, IAVA, and other compliance activities. Must be knowledgeable of current Army and DISA IA standards and practices. Requires familiarity with Federal, DoD, and industry information security requirements and features of networks and applications, and other security issues. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Must be able to process and analyze information provided by a customer (e.g., system administrator, developer, security specialist), make assessments, and provide solutions. Must be able to work with minimal supervision to perform complex technical tasks. Strong writing skills required for preparing security documentation and supporting information assurance efforts. Reports directly to the contract Program Manager, works individually or as part of a team.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education: Experience with Retina Scanner. Familiar with configuring multi-vendor switches and routers in compliance with best practices, network security guidelines, local NEC practices and policies and DISA STIGs. Familiar with the DISA Authorized Products List IAW AR 25-13 and JTC UC APL. Familiar with various cryptographic equipment. Knowledge of Application Sustainment, to include sustaining engineering, data management, configuration management, training, survivability, environment, and protection of critical program information, anti-tamper provisions, information technology security, supportability and interoperability functions, and technology refresh. IAT Level III must have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in IA technology within last ten (10) years. IAT Level III requires one of the five (5) certificates: Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), GIAC Certified Enterprise Defender (GCED), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or CASP.
