TrinityRail Maintenance Services is searching for a Regional Safety Manager in Dallas, TX.  This individual is a key member of the plant leadership team and will:

  • Develop safety/environmental programs for compliance to company and government regulations
  • Administer and monitor Corporate and BU safety/environmental programs
  • Maintain records of training, qualifications, certifications, etc., as they apply to the safety program
  • Provides training to enable effective operation of the established safety systems
  • Initiates, documents and monitors corrective actions to adherence to safety programs
  • Gathers information and generates required and/or requested reports
  • Manages the safety committee to accommodate production schedules and requirements
  • Works with employees to resolve safety issues
  • Keeps the facility management team informed of safety/environmental concerns
  • Participates in the investigation of accidents and injuries and manages local Worker’s Compensation issues
Required Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Safety or similar field plus 5 years experience as a Safety Manager in a steel manufacturing facility
  • Must have people management experience; ability to supervise and interface effectively across all levels
  • Considerable knowledge of all state and Federal regulations relative to safety, health, environment, and worker’s compensation
  • Good knowledge of operations or the ability to acquire it quickly
  • Ability to maintain accurate, current records and generate complete and timely reports
  • Certified Safety Professional certification strongly desired
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate from the shop floor to the C-Suite
