National Account Manager - P&G

Job Description

As an industry and market segment expert, manage and maintain effective relationships, growing sales year-over-year, with assigned accounts.
Culture: Lead and model being customer-focused, challenging the organization to delight our customers.
Customer: Lead the overall effectiveness of assigned customer relationships, including personal visits, account strategies, and
strong relationships. Communicate account strategies internally to key stakeholders, including the Customer Service group and
support their role in achieving the strategy.
Account Management: Coordinate all activities and communications with assigned accounts and achieve metrics and expense budget. Analyze and provide sales forecast data as required. Proactively manage, communicate and hand-off to customer service and other key stakeholders new projects.
Growth: Lead the growth of assigned accounts by developing capability through leveraging technologies and people, including identifying and bringing new business and deepening account knowledge and relationships.
Financial: Provide input into the annual sales budget and monthly forecast. Exceed approved budgets for assigned accounts. Work with Customer Service and customers on escalated A/R issues and any other billing related matters. Ensure customer
contracts are modeled after best practices.
Resources: Organize and manage internal resources to meet strategic, financial and growth objectives of assigned accounts.
Development: Be proactive in learning and staying current on customers' business and markets, and industry trends.
Sales Process: Utilize and embrace best practice sales processes as established by the company.
Teamwork: Build strong relationships with members of the organization and contribute to the goals and objectives of the other
functional areas represented on the sales support teams.

building strong relationships both internally and externally.

Job Requirements

Computer Skills: Literate in MicroSoft Office or the equivalent. The ability to create and customize presentations required. Must be proficient at creating and working
with Excel spreadsheets.

Language Ability: Articulate, clear, persuasive and passionate in the spoken and written word. Make effective and persuasive presentations on difficult or complex topics. A secondary language is desired, but not necessarily required.

Math Ability: Perform college level mathematical calculations, and have the ability to analyze data.

Physical Demands: Travel and move about in offices and plants. Demonstrate a professional image. Maintain focus and energy over an extended period of time.

Qualifications: Prefer minimum of five years business-related experience, relevant industry experience, and proven ability to manage within a large customer organization.

Reasoning Ability: Rational, logical, fact-driven decision making. Read and analyze complex documents, including contracts. Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Supervisory Abilities: Lead, manage, develop, and influence others. Relate to people at all levels of the organization, including diverse cultures. Demonstrate strong emotional intelligence.
