Premier Tax Practice in Dayton, Ohio that specializes in preparing tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships and monthly bookkeeping is seeking a seasoned Tax Return Preparer/Full-Charge Bookkeeper to join their team. Ideal candidate must be an active CPA. Company offers an opportunity to learn and grow personally and professionally as well as developing a long-term relationship with our firm. Responsibilities: *Prepare tax returns for individuals, business partnerships, corporations and trusts *Contact and meet with clients to gather information needed to prepare returns *Enter client information into database *Review and adjust client books and generate financial statements *Oversee the accounting office *Manage and oversee payroll reports and generate weekly/monthly/quarterly *Monthly, quarterly, yearly bookkeeping and financial statement preparation for our clients

Job Requirements

Qualifications: *Minimum of 5 years tax preparation and public accounting experience (all phases of accounting including payroll), tax compliance and tax consulting experience. *BA in accounting or finance *MUST BE AN ACTIVE CPA *Excellent client relationship skills in addition to strong oral and written communication skills *Understanding of technology (hardware and software) to assist the firm in maximizing existing programs and expanding use of technology *Extensive experience with use of tax preparation programs *Must have experience with Quick Books and PeachTree accounting programs. *Experience with other accounting write-up programs a plus *Tax/accounting office management experience required *Ability to multi-task in deadline driven environment *Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality *Strong, analytical, problem-solving, management and organizational skills *Must be able to work independently *Must be dependable with a strong work ethic and willing to work the hours it takes to get done what needs to be accomplished
