Job Description

This cutting edgecompany is looking for an IP Telephony Guru.

Through the VoicePick system and SAP the warehouse productionlevels have and will continue to increase. Forklift operators are tied into the system and are given an order tofill (one product at a time), as they load the product onto the assigned palletthey simply say “next' into their headset and the next product and amount arerelayed back to them.  This processspeeds up the order completion rates and ensures accurate product amounts andselection for each order.  Forklift operatorsare paid per pallet completed and therefore rely exclusively on the VoicePicksystem.  If the system is down, they donot work, if they do not work – they do not get paid.  The VoicePick system is up and running atmultiple sites already and the results have been fantastic. 

The IP Telephony consultant will need to have experiencewith VoIP, QOS, Access Controls, Configuration of switches and routers as wellas experience with telephony installs and upgrades.  The equipment is configured and then sent outto the field where the assigned field tech team completes the installation.  The consultant needs to have UCS CISCO PBX,certifications are a big plus.  Ourclient has specific templates and methodology that need to be followed andrequires the consultant to have excellent written and verbal communicationskills.  The consultant will have theopportunity to interact with the end customer during upgrades and new installsfor updates and status reporting. Documentation experience is important as well as overall technicalexperience.  The consultant will alsogain exposure within the organization through specific production support needsduring installs “downtime'.  There are 40sites scheduled for 2014 with the first site scheduled for June.  Experience with mid to large size enterprisecompanies is preferred due to the complexities around the processes andprocedures for the installs.  Our clienthas all of the latest version of technology and needs a consultant that hasrecent experience with newest technologies in the market.

Job Requirements

Required skills:

  • 7-9 years of experience (telephony projects)

  • VoIP

  • QOS

  • Access Controls

  • Configuration of routers and switches

  • Experience with upgrades and new installs

  • Certifications are a big plus

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Documentation experience
