District Sales Manager - East Mid Atlantic

Job Description

Based on our growth, Walter USA is seeking an experienced District Sales Manager to lead a sales team for the East Mid Atlantic market area.  The “right' sales leader will possess proven experience in sales team management, team leadership, and channel partner and direct customer selling models. In this important position, successful leadership will work to build strategic plans for territory growth and development, lead, coach and develop the sales team, as well as oversee and assure growth in the distributor sales channel and key customer accounts in a competitive, fast-growing marketplace. Role Requirements

The role requires a self-directed, results-oriented sales leader who will work independently, located in the East Mid Atlantic market area. Top Performers will possess strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills and ability to analyze, plan and manage at strategic levels. Success requires expertise in leading, coaching, and mentoring a sales team, driving sales performance and accountability and optimizing customer development, retention and account saturation. (50-70% travel required.)

  • 60% - Sales Leadership & Strategy – Select, lead, manage, and support the sales team to align with sales and territory performance goals. Collaborative development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies and initiatives that align with overall revenue and business growth goals

  • 40% - Strategic Sales Account Optimization & Growth Strategy – Develop and maintain high level relationships with key direct and distribution customer accounts to optimize sales & market growth. Utilize competitive analysis of market trends and technical developments to collaborate on strategies and solutions to grow the Walter USA brand in the marketplace

Job Requirements

Top Performers

Top performers will possess a minimum of 8-10 years of proven sales leadership and industrial B2B sales experience in the MRO, manufacturing or distribution sales environment and experience working independently from a home office / virtual environment in a territory management, consultative-based sales role.
