Job Description

Responsible for identifying the needs of the DCI Donor Services (DCIDS) users and determining the extent of their database access. Monitor the ongoing operation and support of DCI Donor Services Databases and Reporting platforms. The Database and Reporting Administrator is also responsible for integrating desktop databases or spreadsheets into SQL Databases. Provide helpdesk support for escalated issues pertaining to database and report issues.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for the operation and support of the DCIDS Databases and reporting platforms with emphasis on the electronic donor medical record and quality management software platforms.

Responsible for administration, testing, and support of database applications and servers.

Responsible for effectively communicating to DCIDS leadership and designees to ensure established deadlines and schedules for deployment of software upgrades are met. Collaborates with the leadership teams to develop, deploy and maintain internal and external reports.

Creates policies, procedures, diagrams, job aids, and documentation for the DCIDS Databases, reporting platforms, and record retention.

Develops and provides ongoing training to DCIDS employees on the electronic donor medical record and quality management software platforms. Ensures training is documented and provided to employees for retention in their training files.

Responds to escalated helpdesk requests pertaining to database and report issues.

Act as a role model for the DCIDS Quality Department and all DCIDS by supporting, reinforcing and exhibiting behaviors consistent with the DCIDS core values; selfless, hard-working, passionate, and dependable.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Associates degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Must have five (5) years of hands on experience with Microsoft SQL Server databases in a business environment.

Must have a minimum of three (3) years of hands on experience performing advanced database development in a business environment. Including but not limited to database design, stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, indexes in a business environment.

Must have a minimum of one (1) year of hands on experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SRSS) in a business environment.

Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems, and Microsoft SQL Server Applications.

Must possess exceptional organizational skills as well as excellent communication skills and have the ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple requests and projects. Must be able to provide excellent Customer Service skills and be able to work without direct supervision.

Microsoft SQL certifications preferred
