We are seeking a Quantitative Analyst III for our office in Kansas City, MO.  The Quantitative Analyst III identifies pharmacy-rated operating problems, performs, and directs the required analysis to assist in creating an effective solution. Creates complex analysis for problems or opportunities require considerable research to comprehend all aspects of the issue.  Ability to independently analyze information as requested by managers and give cogent, useful advice.*CB

The Quantitative Analyst III Key Responsibilities include:


  • Collaborates with internal management staff, customers and regulatory groups to identify problems and design effective solutions using the company’s information resources.
  • Researches on the availability of data required for a project and the time required to satisfy a request.
  • Develops an analysis plan and analyzes data either independently or in a group setting as required for the project.
  • Identifies and documents changes to the companies IT systems required to advance the analytics process.
  • Performs project management to ensure that goals and deadlines are met.
  • Actively participates in technical training as required to meet job requirements.

Job Requirements


  • Knowledge of NCPDP standards and national drug codes (NDC).
  • Experience using a national drug database such as First Data Bank.
  • Possess an understanding of the Medication Possession Ratio (MPR) and how it is calculated within an enterprise data warehouse environment.
  • 3 years’ experience developing and interpreting pharmacy analytics including medication adherence and medication alerts.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical materials and financial data.
  • Must be able to present information in a large group setting with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to perform complex arithmetic and intermediate algebra required to develop advanced analysis of clinical and operational information.
  • Creates reports, using advanced graphical skills that can be quickly understood by the customer.
  • Intermediate keyboard skills
  • Advanced MS Excel experience including ability to use a variety of Excel functions such as: VLOOKUP, ROUND, SUBTOTAL and SUMPRODUCT
  • Ability to use MS Word and MS PowerPoint to convey results to customers and internal staff.
  • Should have 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to identify and define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
  • Demonstrates ability to manage multiple large projects in a changing environment

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Master’s Degree
  • Intermediate/Advance proficiency in SQL, Crystal Reports or other data access tools.
  • 3-5 years of experience using a BI Tool such as Tableau
