Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems seeks to fill positions for an Engineer Systems Architect in the Advanced Architecture organization within the Advanced Concepts and Technologies Division. 
The successful candidate will have the ability to work in concert with our customers to significantly contribute to our innovative group doing algorithms, developing system architectures, and defining key system capabilities and performance requirements. Candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Applied Math or related technical area). The successful candidate will have broad technical experience, be highly driven / proactive, have the ability to develop and sustain relationships with a wide variety of internal and external customers, and be virtually self-supervisory.
We are looking for a candidate who has strong technical skills across multiple domains – breadth, as well as depth (although not necessarily at the Subject Matter Expert level).  An ideal attribute is having an entrepreneurial bent, comfortable at interacting with, and shaping technical customers to define concepts and find innovative solutions to problems.

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Applied Math or related technical field and a minimum of 9 years of relevant recent experience to include systems engineering, hardware design and/or software design (7 years with a Master's; 4 years with a PhD).  Strong leadership and excellent communication skills are required.  DoD Secret clearance and flexibility for occasional travel a must.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's or PhD in Engineering or related technical field.  Experience using MATLAB and C/C++.   Top Secret clearance and SCI attainable.
