Job Description

As a business analyst, you are a member of PNC's Supply Chain Management organization. You will be based in Pittsburgh in the Allegheny Center Mall location, where you will work with a highly motivated team on SCM applications and processes. Your responsibilities include coordination and management of projects, creating & analyzing business requirements and support of SCM applications. Within the day, there will be project activity, research, documentation development and application support management with a pace set by departmental protocol, production activity and LOB/user demands. In your role, you will draw upon self or other directed activity, collaboration with team and others, end user/employee contact, problem solving and analysis of data.   PNC's commitment to leadership in Supply Chain Management means you will always be at the leading edge of business practice and innovative process improvements.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:  

  • A Bachelors in Business Management, Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • This position requires a college degree based on the need for the individual to have a solid understanding of businesses, the ability to solve complex problems, work in a multi-disciplined team environment and to be consistent with the expectations and responsibilities that come with this role.

  • 5-7 years prior financial analysis experience required in financial services industry.

  • Additional 2 years of reporting and analysis experience.

  • Demonstrated leadership qualifications and experience.

  • Proven project-planning skills, problem solving skills, decision-making skills, time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.

  • Solid command of MS Office software (particularly MS Excel)

  • Incorporates business knowledge and technology to plan, organize and perform project-related activities.

  • Skilled at PC-based technology tools to manage projects.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to interact with all levels of management.
Additional skills: 

  • Capability in decision making, problem solving, and analytical skills.

  • The ability to quickly understand business issues and develop recommendations and defined requirements..

  • Solid command of MS Office software.

  • Incorporate business knowledge & technology to plan, organize and perform project-related activities.

  • Skilled at PC-based technology tools to manage projects.

  • Facilitation, presentation and communications skills (verbal and written) are a critical component for this position.

  • Support management in execution of Supply Chain strategies and best practices. Integrate with business goals to assure continuous improvement of key performance metrics.

  • Experience with Ariba or a similar e-procurement system as well as Microsoft Office suite of programs.

  • Excel and access skills are preferred.
