Job Description

HR Generalist - Benefits

Reporting to the Director of HR, the HR Generalist will assist with all aspects of the HR function including employment, communications, EEO, safety/worker's compensation, training, wage and salary administration, benefit administration, recordkeeping, reporting, correspondence, preparation of HR payroll input changes.. Will also serve as a backup for payroll.
  • Coordinate candidate interviews, maintain applicant log, set-up pre-employment drug screens, and conduct new hire orientation.
  • Maintain bulletin boards.  Problem solving liaison for employees Relay phone messages for manufacturing personnel.
  • Coordinate Educational Assistance Program and maintain training files. Coordinate required program training.
  • Issue and follow-up employee review, maintain appropriate documentation and issue required reports.
  • Process and file proper paperwork regarding Savings Plan, Benefits Enrollment, Open Enrollment, Leaves of Absence and other benefits.
  • Set-up and maintain personnel files and individual medical files. Responsible for departmental correspondence.
  • Prepare Human Resources Payroll Change Input Data and distribute Human Resources Payroll Reports. Act as Payroll function backup.

Job Requirements

  • HR generalist experience including benefits experience.
  • Safety experience a plus.
