Job Description

 AVI Foodsystems, Inc. was founded in 1960 and has rapidly become the largest independently owned and operated food service company in the United States. We currently employ thousands and service millions of consumers daily from different locations throughout our service area.

We are hiring a Lead Cook/Sous Chef at an education account located north of downtown Columbus!

Days of operation: Monday – Friday


No Evenings!

No Weekends!

No Holidays!



  • Assist in the production of all hot and cold foods
  • Manage development and recipe cost
  • Continually maintain a safe work environment
  • Listen and effectively respond to the needs of the client
  • Follow directions and implement instructions from the Chef Director
  • Actively build relationships with other team members within the account

Job Requirements


  • Culinary experience is a plus
  • Strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Exceptional food presentations skills
  • ServSafe certified is a plus
  • Candidate must have a passion for food
  • Experience in a high volume catering environment preferred
  • Ability to build relationships by actively listening and responding to the client’s needs
  • Adaptable to changing business conditions
  • Comfortable dealing with fast-paced environments
