Our client has been in business for over 25 years and continues to develop new technology that makes them a leader in their industry. Currently they have an opportunity for an Accounting Coordinator to join their team in the Austin area. They have built a strong accounting group and are seeking the final piece of the puzzle.

Position Summary / Job responsibilities


The Accounting Coordinator applies principles of accounting to process and analyze financial transactions as directed.  The job responsibilities are listed as follows:

Process Accounts Payable and assist with A/P for company subsidiaries
Review all incoming vendor invoices and obtain proper payment approval
Schedules and prepares bi-weekly check runs
Charges expenses to accounts by analyzing invoice / expense reports
Review / audit employee travel expense reports and miscellaneous expense reports ·
Research and respond to vendor and employee payment inquiries
Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
Verifies federal ID numbers and W9 information
Resolves PO, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation
Assist with year-end vendor 1099’s and other duties as assigned
Administer purchasing process
Process Payroll
Compiles, prepares and maintains payroll reports and statistics

General Administrative support of company, primarily company management

Opens, sorts and distributes incoming correspondence, including faxes

Performs general clerical duties including copying, faxing, mailing and filing

Other responsibilities include screening calls, making travel and meeting arrangements, preparing expense reports, etc.

Maintains historical records by filing documents

Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential

Complete month end procedures as assigned, including journal entry preparation

Complete ad hoc and special projects as assigned

Education and Experience:

Associates degree in accounting or finance. Broad knowledge of accounting principles,practices and procedures. Computer skills including Great Plains, Microsoft Windows, and Office programs; primarily Excel and Word. Required work experience: 5+ years relevant experience. Great Plains and ADP operational experience required. Experience working independently in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities. Locals only
