This Engineer will be responsible for maintenance engineering and reliability of rotating and fixed equipment. As the Process / Reliability / Mechanical Engineer, travel approximately 50% of the time to investigate, evaluate, analyze, and implement engineering solutions to solve reliability problems at manufacturing facilities related to the stationary, mechanical, and rotating equipment. Develop and implement reliability programs and initiatives across sites to promote continuous improvement in plant reliability, best practices sharing, and metrics reporting.
* Be a leader in safety and support all local site initiatives for EHS improvement. Responsible for providing sites with the tools and work processes to maximize plant uptime and minimize maintenance costs by improving equipment mean-time-between-failure and mean-time-to-repair.
* Monitor maintenance activities, work order management, for repetitive maintenance items and develop list of top reliability issues. Initiate work to eliminate the root causes of those that can be economically justified.
* Troubleshoot equipment performance issues, evaluate equipment repair versus replacement, and recommend corrective actions.
* Lead and /or facilitate root cause failure analysis (RCFA) reviews and/or reliability centered maintenance (RCM) exercises.
Requirements for the Process / Reliability / Mechanical Engineer role:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong problem solving, organizational, written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills; able to work well with people at all levels in the organization. Must be a “self starter" who is able to recommend correct courses of action to all levels of management.
