Job Description

The Senior Compensation Analyst will provide company-wide compensation consultation on the day-to-day execution of all compensation programs and processes, closely monitoring adherence to corporate policy, local, state and federal legislation.  Responsible for maintaining salary guide structures, geographic differentials, compensation policies, and ongoing/ad-hoc compensation reporting. Ensure equity administration is executed appropriately.

 

  1.  Lead analyses of company compensation policies, government regulations, market data and agreements with labor unions, in order to comply with legal requirements and financial impacts to support total compensation strategy.
  2. Provides company-wide consultation regarding salary administration, classification, job redesign and reorganization.
  3. Analyze market survey data to ensure the consistency and competitiveness is in alignment with Corizon’s total compensation strategy.
  4. Administer the performance appraisal processes in conjunction with Director of Compensation.
  5. Participate in re-engineering and updating of compensation processes, pay structures, and tables in PeopleSoft.
  6. Work with HRIS to maintain position, job code and department data/structure for the company.
  7. Conduct benchmark studies to assist in developing competitive compensation strategies to support the goal of attracting and retaining a qualified workforce.
  8. Survey employees as part of department and organization evaluations. Summarize findings, then create and present training materials related to compensation evaluation projects.
  9. Administering compensation plans and programs consisting of reviewing job descriptions, benchmarking, position grading or banding, and salary structure.
  10. Support Corizon management with compensation needs including salary recommendations for new hires, promotions, adjustments, transfers, and department reorganizations.
  11. Maintaining current knowledge of local markets regarding compensation levels and modern practices.
  12. Develop and distribute a variety of ad-hoc and standard compensation related reports providing statistical summaries, analysis and recommendations.
  13. Provide support for the Compensation Analyst role with employment demographic and survey completion. Additional tasks may need guidance and hands on support.
  14. Collaborate and/or lead special projects to enhance the current compensation programs.
  15. Communicate and present process changes, enhancements and modifications to management, peers, staff and other employees so that issues and solutions are understood. Incorporate “best practices" approaches.
  16. Other job related duties may be assigned. 



Job Requirements

  • Education:  Bachelors Degree or equivalent years’ experience in Human Resources or Compensation
  • Experience Level: 8 years experience in HR with concentration in compensation. Healthcare experience a plus. Requirements also include knowledge and understanding of FLSA, FMLA, ADA and EEO.
  • Tools and Technology: Advance Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Access; PeopleSoft preferred. 
  • Certificates and Licenses:  CCP designation and/or PHR/SPHR preferred
  • Language Ability: Excellent verbal and written and presentation communication skills.  Effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.
  • Reasoning Ability:Ability to work on extremely complex problems where analysis of situations, data, and/or team members requires an evaluation of intangible variance factors.
  • Work Environment: Office environment with occasional travel up to 15% to: correctional facilities, regional offices, Client and/or vendor sites. Subject to on-call or after-hours work to resolve problems or meet deadlines.
  • Physical Demands: Must have and maintain sufficient strength, agility, and endurance to perform during stressful (physical, mental and emotional) situations encountered on the job without compromising your health and well-being or that of your fellow employees.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.   The employee is frequently required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel and talk or hear.
