Job Description

New Restaurant Opening Manager (NROM)

Denny’s is growing!  We’ve opened more restaurants the last 3 years than any other family dining chain and we want you to be a part of the team. 

As a Denny’s New Restaurant Opening Manager (NROM), you will:

  • Assist franchisees both domestically and Internationally from concept to construction through opening day and beyond
  • Coordinate and validate manager training
  • Coordinate a cross functional team of support departments
  • Contribute your expertise to proper kitchen layout and design

And this is all before you even get to the restaurant!

Once on site, you’re the captain of a winning team.  You manage a staff of trainers to:

  • Support the team in setting up the restaurant and creating a great training environment
  • Facilitate a tried and true training process with the newly hired team of up to 100 people; teaching them the ins and outs of their position and the brand. 
  • Proudly open for business and support the team through the opening and hand off the restaurant to our operations experts. 

Often the hardest part of the job is leaving the new family you just created and moving on to the next project.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma required. College degree preferred.

  • 2 years of experience in restaurant management. 

  • Prior new restaurant opening experience.

  • Training experience strongly preferred.
  • Food Safety Manager Certification preferred.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent business and financial acumen.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent oral and written communication skills, 2nd language is preferred.
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to partner with others to achieve results/resolution.
  • Able to be away from home for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, evenings as needed.
  • Ability to obtain a US passport.
