JOB DESCRIPTION

Job is located in Port Washington, WI.


This position is responsible for helping meet the business needs of the company by providing technical and administrative support for the company’s desktops and laptop computers.  The Desktop Administrator works within a team environment.

  • Provide assistance, implementation, and maintenance for the company’s desktops and laptops
  • Purchase, set up and deploy new desktop and laptop computers.
  • Configure SCCM to deploy software and OS’s
  • Maintain SCCM
  • Update all  machine images and critical software regularly
  • Deploy and maintain  A/V solution
  • Work with Help Desk to resolve level 2 issues
  • Maintain and report auto-generated inventory list to finance
  • Work with IT infrastructure to ensure desktop security at network level
  • Maintain laptop and desktop OS updates
  • Manage inbound technical calls and emails.
  • Provide an accurate record of each call in ticket tracking software.
  • Follow escalation procedures.
  • Monitor open issues to ensure business expectations are met.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education, Skills and Experience:
• Associate’s Degree in a related field.
• 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Windows-based computers and servers.
• Knowledge and familiarity with basic networking concepts, including LAN setup, Internet access, and network troubleshooting.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Must be able to handle a wide work variety and work in a fast paced environment.
• Must be a detail-oriented, organized, self-starter, and have an ability to prioritize workload.
• Ability to identify and resolve project application issues with customers and trade allies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong data entry skills in entering information in tracking systems/databases.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with customers, clients and employees.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data and solve practical problems.
• Knowledge of mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages and ratios.
• Valid driver's licence required.  Travel up to 10%.
