Supply Chain Lead - Lawson Specialist

This position is responsible for successfully supporting the Lawson Materials Management system in accordance with Dignity Health-wide standards. The Lead will be expected to maintain effective monitoring and communication with all Dignity Health locations to ensure that business operations are effectively and efficiently maintained through the Lawson tool.

The Lead will work day to day with Dignity Health-IT Production Support Staff, Site Materials Management staff, Supply Chain Management, and Lawson GSC as well as the other SCM Technology staff. Activities to successfully meet this goal include: analyzing and resolving software and/or procedural issues that occur at Dignity Health facilities; developing testing plans; developing reports; establishing appropriate policies and procedures; and assisting with departmental practices and operational changes to ensure the ongoing success of Dignity Health's Lawson Materials Management system.

1. Accountable for resolution of Lawson Materials Management support tasks in coordination with Dignity Health-IT Production Support Staff. Accomplish all tasks according to Dignity Health Standards. Review and update Materials Management Issue Tracking tool (CITA) and provide status reports.

2. Work with the Dignity Health materials management community and SCM leaders to identify and implement best practices and optimal use of Lawson tools. Perform functional process analysis to ensure site processes reflect workflows required by Lawson, and work with other functional teams, i.e. A/P technology team, to modify and document processes to form standard operating processes and documentation practice.

3. Develop and bring to production performance metrics that track the use of Lawson to enhance business processes.

4. Lead implementation of new Lawson MM companies, ensuring appropriate data migration, end-user training, and adherence to project milestones. Assess the degree of change management required to meet technology and business goals. Work collaboratively with facility materials management, other functional leaders, and Dignity Health-IT and SCM staff. . Conduct site team, end user and RSS/RA training over the implementation. Provide data for validation by the site, in conjunction with SCM Master File. Coordinate with IT Resources on equipment, interfaces and system access as necessary. Manage the site resources jointly with MM management to insure tasks are completed as scheduled.

5. Lead in the development and maintenance of Lawson MM reporting, including Lawson Business Intelligence, Smart Notes, etc., to provide timely data for decision support. Ensure that the reporting requirements of Dignity Health facilities and Supply Chain Management (SCM) are met.

6. Review and test upgrades and added functionality in order to support facility implementation. Develop training documentation. Ensure that appropriate change management and training occurs with any Lawson modification or new Lawson processes.

7. Maintain project plans for future implementations, post implementation reviews and remediation efforts, and report/indicator development and distribution.

8. Facilitate meetings on a regular basis with the Dignity Health-IT Production Staff, attending monthly MM Production Support calls, User group meetings, and Production Support meetings.

9. Assist the Director, SCM Technology Support and Service to develop and train strong, knowledgeable users across Dignity Health.

10. Attend required training sessions on the Lawson product in order to successfully uphold the design decisions for the Materials Management production for Dignity Health-wide standard implementation.

Position Requirements:


Minimum Required:

* 5 years of progressively responsible professional business experience in a Materials Management healthcare environment

* 3 years directly involved with the implementation or operation of Materials Management software

* Proficiency in the Lawson Material Management system vs 8.03 or greater


Minimum Required:

* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Special Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

- Proficiency in a variety of data analysis programs, including Microsoft Access and Excel.
- Experience manipulating large data sets and, an appreciation of data integrity issues.
- A strong understanding of Materials Management (Lawson Software)
- Demonstrated team leadership and facilitation skills
- Ability to work successfully in a matrix environment: leading Perot Site and Dignity Health staff to accomplish required tasks and reach consensus. Create and maintain a cooperative relationship with team members, vendors, and other Dignity Health participants
