JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for direction and oversight of the Quality Management Department and the various functions under its umbrella, including Quality Improvement, Infection Prevention, and Patient Relations.  Provides reports to the QM Committee, Medical Executive Committee, Board of Directors, administrative team, health plans, and IASIS corporate as requested and required.  Initiates, directs, and has monitoring oversight of quality improvement activities within the department and across SLMC/TSLH facility campuses. Assures collaboration between quality, risk , patient relations and infection prevention & control functions.  Assists in formulating and monitoring the budget for the areas included. Oversees and provides assistance for accreditation activities for continuous survey readiness for regulatory bodies and third-party accreditations (e.g., DNV, CAP, CLIA, AzDHS, etc.) Provides education for Quality Management concepts and activities with audience specific content, adhering to principles of adult learning.

Must be a Registered Nurse for this position!


JOB REQUIREMENTS


• 

Current Arizona  Registered Nurse Licensure (or eligible to obtain).



Professional certification in Healthcare
Quality (CPHQ) preferred; (if not on hire, within one year of hire date).



Post-graduate degree in Health Services
Administration preferable.



Five 
or more years of previous Clinical and Quality management experience in
an acute care setting. 



Significant experience with regulatory
and accreditation processes, core measures, HCAHPS , and process
improvement.activities.
