[MINIMUM]: * BA/BS in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or equivalent experience * Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI * 8+ years of experience managing one or more complex IT product/software development projects or programs * Experience with leading disaster recovery application infrastructure projects across multiple data center deployments using the latest virtualization (PaaS) models. * Experience with using Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) such as HP PPMc, Oracle Primavera, SAP Portfolio & Planning Management, Microsoft Project, etc. * Advanced understanding of project management principles and methodologies * Excellent project financial and budget management skills * Workforce planning and resource management skills * Ability to function and manage project staff in a matrix environment * Understanding of IT roles and responsibilities

[DESIRED]: * 5+ years of experience managing one or more complex IT programs or portfolios in excess of $10 million * Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification from PMI or certification from an accredited project management training program (e.g. Stanford Advanced Project Management Certification Program, etc.) * Experience and demonstrated expertise in successful delivery of infrastructure and disaster recovery projects involving utility customer care billing solutions or similar complex mission critical systems * Knowledge of utility vendor solutions including Customer Care & Billing, Meter Data Management, UtilityIQ, etc. * Ability to influence and work across several departments to define, quantify, and drive implementation of the ‘best’ disaster recovery hardware and software solutions * Experience with developing complex project and program management plans in collaboration with client, IT, and vendor stakeholders * Demonstrated ability to effectively navigate complex organizational, process, technical and political challenges * Ability to effectively identify, quantify, and rank project risks and implement successful mitigation plans *Experience working in a PMO environment as a Project Lead or Project Manager for medium to large complex projects *Experience with IT professional service agreements and materials logistics * Understanding of the utility business operations and IT strategies * Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The IT Project Manager will be responsible for the concurrent management of one or more complex projects or programs. These projects are one-time, multitask jobs that have clearly defined start and end dates, a specific scope of work, a budget, required resources, and a specified performance objective to be achieved. Specific responsibilities include: * Leads many multi-year projects or programs with a budget ranging between $300,000 - $10,000,000 * Exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance with broad scope and high complexity * Gathers, defines and documents project requirements * Demonstrates advanced knowledge and technical competence * Clearly defines and communicates roles, responsibilities and expectations for all members of the project team * Obtains and defines staffing requirements and forming project teams * Independently plans all associated work to meet project goals * Provides direction and leadership to project management analysts and schedulers * Develops metrics, procedures, objectives and methods to assess project progress while utilizing established standards and quality objectives * Conducts project kick-off meetings and coordinates all project pre-planning tasks * Communicates individual project roles and sets team expectations for collaborative completion of all assigned work * Ensures all project team members have the tools and training necessary to perform effectively * Records, tracks and communicates issues, risks, changes, and status reports * Accurately and consistently forecasting project resources, material and contract costs * Drives all project related tasks to completion * Develops and maintaining up-to-date detailed project schedules and work plans * Monitors critical project milestones, and identifies ways to resolve schedule or resource issues * Coordinate any required contract work within the defined PG&E sourcing policy * Assesses project performance at least weekly and implements changes as necessary to ensure the projects remains within the specified budget, schedule, scope and quality objectives * Communicates status of all projects to stakeholders and management * Develops and maintains a productive working relationship with project sponsors, vendors and key clients * Negotiates project scope implementation with stakeholders to balance delivery with competing organizational priorities and resource demands * Exercises independent judgment and decision making ability with limited management oversight * Secures client and sponsor acceptance on delivery of final project solutions delivered * Complies with all IT methodology processes, regulatory, and SOX auditing requirements * Prepares all project documentation for closure, storage, and possible auditing activities, ensuring technical accuracy Safety and Compliance: This is a foundational value and job responsibility shared by all employees 100% of the time
