JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking talented Life Insurance Compliance Executive for our San Antonio, TX facility.

PURPOSE OF JOB 

The Life Insurance Compliance Executive Oversee all aspects of Life Insurance Operational and Regulatory Compliance. The executive will be responsible for determining if policies and processes are in place to comply with applicable regulations and requirements. The executive will have daily interaction with all levels of Life Insurance management team regarding Compliance processes, regulatory filings, external examinations, product/project implementation, management issues and legal/regulatory risk mitigation strategies. Lead a team of Compliance professionals in ensuring the Life Insurance companies continue to operate in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations in 50+ states/jurisdictions, plus new Federal Insurance Office, in the face of fast paced, evolving business objectives and increasingly dynamic external regulatory environment.

JOB DUTIES

  • Oversees all aspects of Life Insurance legal and regulatory Compliance.
  • Develops modernized, Compliance-risk mitigation practices.
  • Manages Life Insurance non-discretionary project portfolio.
  • Interacts regularly with Senior Management on progress of Compliance oversight, challenges, and future state design.
  • Accountable for establishing and improving roles, policies and procedures for Compliance Management by all Life Insurance operational areas.
  • Establishes a formal business plan for ensuring Compliance accountability by Life Insurance business process owners.
  • Advises Life Insurance Senior Management on development of risk-based, self-testing procedures for applicable business processes.
  • Establishes and implements independent testing for Life Insurance Compliance.
  • Sets the agenda, builds high-performing teams and sells the vision.
  • Ensures development and mentorship of employees.
  • Builds enduring teams and processes that foster an environment to attract, develop and retain strong talent.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 8+ Years Experience in Life Insurance Industry.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years experience with Compliance processes and procedures.
  • Business background and experience in Life Underwriting, Actuary, Product & Sales.

Preferred

  • 10+ Years of Experience in the Life Insurance Industry.
  • Juris Doctorate degree.
  • Significant background in Life Insurance Compliance Management, Product Management, Product Development, and Agency/Sales related operations.
  • 5+ Years of Experience as a leader in a matrixed financial services organization.
