Job Description

Assistant Manager, E-Commerce Distribution Center (Los Angeles, CA)

The Ecommerce Distribution Center Assistant Manager will be responsible for the overall management, planning, staffing, organization, and execution of the day-to-day operations within the distribution center. The Assistant Manager will oversee and provide direction and guidance to the team in order to operate an efficient Ecommerce distribution cycle.


  • Assist in the planning and management of daily work activities within the warehouse to expedite workflow
  • Lead and develop fellow associates by evaluating and monitoring their performance, providing feedback, and providing training related to facility policies and procedures
  • Monitor the condition of the Ecommerce floor area to ensure its compliance with OSHA and company quality and safety standards
  • Defuse any escalated employee, customer, and supplier inquiries through sound judgment and consultative measures
  • Ensure inventory is received appropriately and efficiently processed in the warehouse in order to maintain its integrity
  • Extract data from the Ecommerce database to assemble reports and analyze, for the purpose of identifying any operational improvements or opportunities pertaining to production, quality, efficiency, safety, etc.
  • Forecast staffing, workload, and performance results to meet business demands

Job Requirements

Assistant Manager, E-Commerce Distribution Center (Los Angeles, CA)

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Must have a high school diploma; BA or BS in Business Administration or Supply Chain preferred
  • Must have at least 4 years of experience in supply chain management or a related field
  • Must have at least 2 year of front line lead/supervisory experience, preferably in a distribution center
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems functions and how it relates to operational procedures including receiving, order processing, picking, packing, shipping, cycle counting and reverse logistics
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business including peak seasons and special events
  • Must possess strong oral and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate with vendors and all levels of employees in the organization, as well as managing confrontational situations in a controlled and courteous manner
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, specifically for producing reports and simple calculations of percentages, area, volume, etc.
