Software Engineer - CE1-2888
Infoscitex (IST) is seeking an innovative and capable Computer Engineer to develop computer algorithms, implement GUI concepts, debug and test Java, C# and C++ code. We are looking a deft Computer Programmer to help us turn our cutting edge technology into incredibly cool software products for our DoD customers. The areas of research and development this position will support include, but are not limited to, creation, extension and/or modification of simulation architectures to model physical systems for the demonstration and testing of a wide range of remotely piloted aircraft (RPA)/unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) control technologies.
Essential Job Functions:
Participate in concept design to create advanced information visualization, management, and control concepts for autonomous and semi-autonomous systems.
Develop new applications, extend and maintain existing applications.
Develop plug-ins for existing architectures.
Interface between multiple applications.
Innovates data visualization and presentation techniques.
Create code that meets system standards.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with preferably one (1) year of experience using Java, C# and C++ programming languages.
Must be able to obtain a National Agency Check (NAC) clearance.
Strong math and analytical skills.
Ability to support multiple projects.
Ability to apply technical standards, principles, theories and techniques.
Creative problem solving capabilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prepare and deliver clear presentations on research and development plans, project status, technical issues and results.
Demonstrated ability to think “on your feet” and react to time critical situations to achieve project success.
Two (2) years of experience using Java, C# and C++ programming languages.
Familiarity with additional programming languages such as C, Qt, and Python.
Understanding of the operation and employment of remotely piloted aircraft (RPA)/unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).
