JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Oversees the Quality Assurance activities of the program and supervises any quality assurance analysts.
  • Monitors the development and implementation of the Quality Improvement System and assist with the development of future refinement of the program’s standard operating procedures.  
  • Identifies strategies to improve program monitoring activities. 
  • Conducts quality assurance reviews under the contracts; generates reports and implements corrective actions.
  • Provides technical assistance as assigned to unfavorable external funding source monitoring, external audits or internal reviews regarding project compliance. 
  • Extensive standing, sitting, computer, phone, and deskwork required; work primarily in a defined office environment with specified hours, although flexible hours may be required
  • Interacts one on one and in groups with individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds
  • Availability for occasional out of office meetings, conferences, and other events may be required; travel may be required.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of the concepts of quality assurance, including methods and tools for implementing improvement activities. 
  • Individual will also have practical knowledge of how quality assurance techniques can be effectively utilized in a human services environment to improve operational processes, identify areas for improvement quickly and systematically, establish valid and reliable performance measures, customer satisfaction measure and other performance outcomes. 
  • Experience in service or quality assurance processes demonstrated by: 1) a minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Management and 2) project management experience. 
  • Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods and techniques of Quality Management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to design and deliver presentations and programs. 
  • 3 years experience conducting quality assurance and continuous improvement activities, including conducting audits and developing quality improvement and corrective action plans. 
  • Understanding of TQM, CQI, Six Sigma, JCAHCO standards, Baldrige, ISO 9000, CARF or other recognized quality standard.  
  • Exceptional analytical skills.
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize workload to meet strict requirements. 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. 
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access and Project. 
  • Master’s degree or higher is preferred in related field.
