Job Description

The Regional Manager (Area Site Mgr.) for the Southeast U.S. [Located primarily in Columbus, GA)  Area of responsibility, is to provide direct Managerial Supervision, Direction, and Oversight for the WIS Site Managers in Columbus, GA and Jupiter, FL.  Additional locations may be added to the scope of responsibility.Duties and Responsibilities are directly related to those listed below by providing Managerial Supervision, Direction, and Oversight (including high level reporting and customer interaction to promote sales and meet cost savings obligations) for the Wesco Integrated Site Managers located in GA and FL.  This position reports directly to the WIS Program Manager for this division. Site Manager functions include the following:Coordinate purchasing, customer service, vendor relationships and warehousing activities in accordance with policies, procedures and principles established by Wesco Integrated Supply and the program contract. Confer with customer to implement program.  Evaluate areas for improvement and expanded services. Administer those human resource activities as necessary for all WIS employees at the site. Participate in the hiring of all site employees, as deemed necessary. Develop plans for efficient use of materials, equipment and employees. Monitor program effectiveness and prepare monthly reports such as cost, performance service quality and improvements, as required. Advise employees of the methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining and delivery of stock material. Utilize and maintain available information to improve the program. Resolves all billing issues with the customer.Assist and Manage Site Managers with the following: Ensure proper implementation of the quality system.  Participate in the management review of the quality system to verify effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement. Ensure all company procedures are implemented and training is being provided to and documented for employees as necessary. Perform performance appraisals annually.  Discipline or reward employees as required. Record verbal/written complaints from customers that concern dissatisfaction with product or service provided.  This includes processing the complaint by responding to the customer with the action taken to correct the problem, or if related to sales department, directing the complaint to the responsible supervisor/manager; submitting the results to management for review/closure; initiating a request for corrective action, when appropriate. Initiate and authorize corrective/preventative actions as appropriate. Respond to audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions in a timely manner. Coordinate vendor information sharing activities with the customer, including new product launch, value added and cost savings initiatives.  Ensure cost savings ideas are generated, documented and submitted to the customer for approval. Work with Quality Manager to ensure that the TIR/PAR process is kept current and up to date.  Work with vendors and customers to make sure TIR’s and PAR’s are responded to in a timely manner. Provide Project Reports and WPR’s (Bi-Monthly Report) throughout the month to Program Manager, on time as required. Provide Quad-Charts for Cost Savings or Projects.  Provide documentation as required for Quarterly Business Reviews with the customer. Provide assorted reports to various customers on a regular basis for review and discussion. Perform other related duties as assigned by Program Manager.

Job Requirements

Drivers License Management Skills:  Must have the ability to supervise and manage other managers and employees with the ability to problem solve and resolve difficult situations as necessary.  Need to be able to engage with employees to build upon current performance levels to strengthen and maximize on employees potential.  Language Skills:  Ability to read and interpret documents (some complex).  Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.  Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.  Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Mathematical Skills:  Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability:  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
