    EMSI’s business model combines renewable software and professional service-based revenue sourced across various currencies. With 100 employees, we are about to move into Moscow’s coolest downtown tech building which will allow growth to around 150 employees.

    Summary of Position:

    We are currently looking for a new Client Services accounts manager. The Client Services department is responsible for managing relationships with new clients. As accounts manager, the new hire will oversee the managing of these relationships, as well as the renewal processes and all technical services.

    Specifically, the job includes managing renewable software subscriptions for an assigned region, renegotiating contracts to meet client needs, determining subscription prices, delivering invoices, securing renewals on existing subscriptions, generating leads/referrals for sales staff, deepening relations, and broadening understanding of current client base. The goal will be to expand subscriptions and sell additional products where appropriate.

    Major Responsibilities/Activities:

    Establish and deepen relations with assigned clients:
  • Call to check in quarterly
  • Understand what their biggest projects and challenges are
  • Understand where EMSI fits in that picture

    Track renewals and subscriptions for assigned clients:
  • Start talking about renewal with client minimum of 90 days from renewal date

    Negotiate key contracts:
  • Down sell when necessary to prevent cancellations
  • Bump up pricing if it is not a sustainable discount
  • Upsell data and other products/services where possible

    Meet client needs and provide general service to clients:
  • Ensure they have access to training materials
  • Answer basic questions/needs via phone and email

    Proactively follow up with clients:
  • Quarterly contact minimum with all clients
  • Follow up on opportunities to upsell or sell other products when it’s a good fit for the customer

    Deliver invoices to clients:
  • Confirm renewal in writing and ensure client has invoice far enough in advance that they can make timely payment

    Expand current subscriptions:
  • Present the option for more data (e.g., zip level, national level, international level or business level) and products (e.g., Career Coach, Economic Impact Studies, and Student Résumé Analysis).


    Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience in customer relations
  • Experience with Mac OS and MS Office programs
  • Proven ability to meet goals and deadlines with minimal supervision
