This is a fast track rotational position (not entry level). Bridgestone Americas understands that knowledge and experience help our leaders be successful which is why we are dedicated to the development of our next generation of leaders.  At Bridgestone Americas we have designed a 12 month training program to develop and train experienced multi-unit level managers in the Bridgestone business model by preparing them for their next role as a manager within the consumer tire division.  During this 12 month rotation, current managers with multi-unit level experience will rotate among the Consumer Tire Division’s retail dealer network, national customers and sales operations to be educated on the various channels of distribution, marketing, programs, etc.  Upon successful completion of the program, this trained manager will then be placed in a leadership role within the organization.

 •Rotation- retail dealer network (5 Months): oGain an understanding of our retail channels of business by performing an in depth of review of those channels:  Dealer and Corporate Accounts. oAcclimate with the Bridgestone Americas educational pieces of the Retail Operations to include but not limited to:  product knowledge, tire technology, grass roots marketing, and sales process, etc. oLearn the various rewards programs offered within the dealer network. oParticipate in retail stores visit ride alongs, participate in key dealer meetings, and perform a region review. •Rotation- national customers (5 Months): oAnalyze the national customer business unit performing an in depth review of the distributor channel to include Purchase Resales and TWW (Tire Wholesale Warehouse). oReview current business plans for achieving growth objectives with the national customer channel. oLearn all aspects of product planning, forecasting, pricing and promotional support programs for the national customers. oShadow a regional manager and participate in sales calls traveling to our national customers. •Rotation- sales operations (2 Months in Nashville office): oDuring rotation in Nashville, spend time with various departments that support the consumer tire division to include, but not limited to:  sales operations, marketing (i.e. product planning, pricing, forecasting, etc.), customer service, finance, credit, and other support functions. oLearn the aspects of the budget process, analyze P&L statements and expense budget expectations. oSpend time learning the various tools utilized for sales reporting and tracking that will be used while managing.

Job Requirements

•Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 10 years of progressively successful multi-unit retail management experience. •Direct people management experience to include interviewing, hiring and coaching for business results. •Proven experience in completing performance appraisals and performance management to include coaching, training and development of individuals for career advancement. •Demonstrated financial acumen to include heavy P&L analysis experience, managing payroll and budgets, and growing revenue. •Excellent communication skills both verbally and written. •Must be open to the possibility of out-of-state relocation once the training is complete.
