SALES CONSULTANT, VIRTUAL

This position is responsible for the entire sales process from start to close, and focuses on increasing Insperity revenue by calling on prospective customers, generating and following up on sales leads, and meeting sales objectives.  Develops new business relationships through prospecting, client visit, responding to incoming leads, web demonstrations, tradeshows, marketing programs, and more.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Under limited supervision and much decision-making:

 

  • Calls on key prospective customers to explain features, benefits and value of Sage HRMS, Insperity Time and Attendance (ITA) and other Insperity software solutions. 
  • Follows up on sales leads generated from a variety of sources. 
  • Prospects relentlessly to build and maintain a pipeline that will exceed monthly, quarterly and yearly sales goals and objectives.
  • Takes ownership of pipeline and client relations and uses best judgment to accomplish financial sales goals. 
  • Travels throughout the market area.  Spends a majority of time outside of the office, meeting with prospects and clients for the purpose of selling Insperity software solutions. 
  • Works with implementation and support personnel and Insperity Service Operations to seamlessly transition new accounts into a post sales cycle.
  • Continues to develop and enhance business cases for prospective customers that reinforce the market leadership position of Insperity in the marketplace.
  • Supports marketing efforts, including the development and execution of inbound and outbound marketing campaigns.
  • Works closely with finance to insure that billing issues are addressed when appropriate.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Associate’s Degree is required.  Bachelor’s Degree in a professional sales and/or sales management related program is preferred.
  • Three to five years of sales experience is preferred.  Experience in software sales and Sage HRMS sales is preferred. 

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

  • Demonstrated ability to generate and close sales; and cultivate, build and keep client relationships.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple groups/departments.
  • Methods and techniques used in persuasion and negotiation of conflicts and problems; dealing constructively with conflict; communicating effectively, verbally and in writing, in a diverse range of audiences and settings; and maintaining effective work relations with those encountered in the course of employment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is preferred.

Travels: Yes

If yes, up to 80+% of time

What percent of time is this position required to drive a vehicle (other than Company issued) for business purposes?  Up to 50+%
