We are currently seeking talented Enterprise Financial Analytics Executive for our San Antonio, TX facility.


The Financial Analytics Executive plans, organizes, directs and staffs Enterprise analytical, modeling, and operational projects/ programs to enable the development of member centric analytical tools and capabilities that support performance assessment and promote accountability. The executive partners cross- functionally with lines of business to deliver Enterprise solutions and develop go-to market strategies. The Executive works collaboratively with Senior Financial Officers, IT, and the Chief Data & Analytics Office to set and execute the strategy and vision for delivery of information and analytics to key stakeholders.


  • Leads the strategic development, implementation and oversight of the application of decision science to financial decision-making. Presents a member-centric, enterprise approach to methods, processes, tools and capabilities. Works across functions and lines of business to understand the current competitive landscape and ensures mitigation strategies are in place. Assures effective implementation and coordination of analytical practices between EFA, line of business and staff functions.
  • Works with senior leadership to identify and implement enterprise-level analytical opportunities. Supports senior leadership in reporting competitive analysis and opportunities. Participates in key committees as appropriate. Provides results and recommendations to Finance and business senior management.
  • Supports development of technology strategy and works with key CFO leadership to define multi-year roadmap for member-level financial analytical technology solutions. Leads efforts to define, evaluate, select and build technology solutions, data sets and requirements. Acts as executive sponsor for technology projects.
  • Serves as the principal enterprise change agent for organizational improvements towards consistent financial analytical methods utilizing a multidisciplinary approach (financial modeling, statistical modeling, pricing and demand estimation, etc.).
  • Identifies opportunities to apply quantitative methods to improve business performance and promotes development of innovative solutions to address gaps. Advises senior business leaders in the development of strategic and tactical business strategies and the implications of analytical solutions to USAA.
  • Leads the development and implementation of statistical model monitoring and performance assessment and provides technical guidance to business leadership. Monitors, learns and implements industry and competitive best practices with respect to econometric and statistical modeling, pricing, underwriting and marketing techniques.
  • Responsible for the integrity of the results generated from Enterprise financial models and analytics. Responsible for effectively utilizing systems and technology to automate and streamline processes. Responsible for coordinating and overseeing the technical support for development, maintenance and availability issues.
  • Provide support and guidance to the operational and strategic planning process to include: preparing financial reports, analysis and presentations; and setting unit financial goals and financial targets.
  • Builds and manages a high performing team of analytical and business professionals through recruiting, training, coaching, performance management, and related managerial activities. Develops, creates and allocates budgets and resources based on business needs.
  • Leads a team of 5+ employees comprised of people manager(s) and individual contributor analysts.


  • Bachelor's degree in Econometrics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Actuarial Sciences or a related field.
  • 8+ years related work experience demonstrating proficiency with econometric and statistical techniques (predictive modeling, logistic regression, survival analysis, design of experiments, decision trees, data mining methods, and other advanced statistical and econometric techniques) or other related experience.
  • 5+ years managerial experience or experience working with cross-functional teams in a leadership capacity.


  • Experience leading teams of analytical professionals.
  • Experience translating analytical results into business strategy.
  • Related underwriting and pricing experience.
  • Advanced education and/or designations outlined above.
  • Experience in stress testing and/or model risk management.
