Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Technologist
Performs electroencephalograms on patients in the hospital. Performs long-term video/EEG monitoring on patients with scalp and intracranial placed electrodes in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. Ensures the quality, efficiency and safety in the performance of the procedures in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. Promotes the Health System's guest relations policy.
High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associate’s degree in healthcare related field is preferred. Completion of a nationally recognized END Technologist school or completion of a military END training course is preferred. A minimum of one (1) year technical experience as and EEG Technician in a hospital or clinic setting is required if not a graduate of an END program. One (1) year experience in an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) is preferred.
Credentialed by the American Board of Registered Electroencephalography Technologist (ABRET) in one of the following is required: R.EEG.T.; R.EP.T.; R.NCS.T.; CLTM; or, CNIM; OR, may be a graduate from an END Technologist school or military END program and board eligible. Credential must be obtained within six (6) months of placement.
