Maxim Healthcare Services is currently seeking an Accounts Manager to work in an office within the company's Homecare division.  The Accounts Manager will assist with all mandated activities and will have an integral role in the ongoing education of clients, physicians, case managers, and community members regarding the functions and benefits of health care services.  This individual will also participate in program development and contracting, while maintaining compliance with all reimbursement guidelines, as well as company policies and procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develops sound working relationships with clients, physicians, case managers and community members in order to facilitate the home care referral process
  • Educates clients, physicians, case managers and community members regarding the benefits of home care services and appropriate patients to refer to home health
  • Makes initial contact with other health care providers regarding service agreements and financial arrangements to ensure appropriate services are deemed necessary to meet the needs of the patients
  • Promotes open communication between all departments to ensure proper implementation of new contracts
  • Keeps General Manager (if applicable) and or Regional Account Manager informed of changes in the health care community and makes recommendations on ways to meet Maxim goals while maintaining compliance with State, Local, Federal and accreditation body guidelines
  • Adheres to policies and procedures as well as corporate goals and objectives
  • Demonstrates professional behavior and serves as a role model to staff at all times
  • Identifies discharge planning needs when applicable
  • Works with Director of Clinical Services to ensure optimal clinical outcomes for all clients
  • Serves as a member of the Governing Body and participates in planning overall development of the office operations
  • Serves as liaison to the Professional Advisory Board
  • Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing/Communications/Provider Relations preferred
  • Minimum of one year home care experience within the last two years
  • Complies with accepted professional standards and practice
  • Excellent knowledge of home care scope of services and third-party reimbursement
  • Knowledge of State, Federal, Local and accreditation home care standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable transportation
