Executive Director, Perioperative Services

Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, University Hospital, the Executive Director, Perioperative Services, develops and maintains professional relationships with all Health System leadership, Health System providers, community collaborators and customers. Provides leadership and overall management of Perioperative Services operations and staff. Responsible for facilitation and coordination of the Perioperative services patients. Provides clinical and financial information and statistics as required for a successful Perioperative services operation. Collaborates with the patient care team and physician leadership as necessary. Assures the Perioperative Services is prepared for small high volume increases. Promotes the University Health System Customer Relation’s policy.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and current registration with the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas is required. Master’s Degree in Nursing, Business or Healthcare Administration is required. Five years experience in nursing with at least five years of progressively responsible supervisory/leadership experience is required. Knowledge and experience with a Level I trauma center program with 20 plus operating suite is strongly preferred.
Current RN licensure from the Board of Nurse Examiners of the State of Texas is required.
