JOB DESCRIPTION

The Business Services Coordinator is responsible for a team of Account Managers who are responsible for direct placement of job seekers and ensuring employer needs are met during the hiring process. Additional responsibilities include researching prospective target employers with high-volume hiring needs, and developing, cultivating and maintaining relationships with key employers.

  • Meets and understands the skills of the customers to identify and discuss barriers to employment, as well as how to best overcome and present them to employers
  • Provides assistance in finding employment for customers through utilization of all community resources
  • Successfully matches the skills and abilities of the customer to the right employment opportunities so the individual is successful in retaining the job
  • Manages the day-to-day relationship with customers, address customers concerns promptly with an action plan to ensure satisfaction; document all findings with case notes in a clear, concise, and timely manner
  • Possesses knowledge and professional understanding of a vast array of occupations/career paths for effective placement/processing and assessment of clients as well as determining services most appropriate for their career goals
  • Successfully develops and manages employers within the community as well as adjacent to the community to address their hiring needs
  • Understands the employer hiring needs and referring the best candidates to the position
  • Maintains good standards of communications with existing accounts for effective feedback and follow up
  • Maintains and displays active job bank through creative means meeting RWS and Customer standards including posting open positions on the Program’s Job Boards
  • Maintains effective communication and coordination to other team members to ensure program performance goals are achieved
  • Provides motivational support to customers during the job search process
  • Successfully documents customer success stories internally and externally
  • Administratively maintains accurate and complete records and correspondence as required by the Program Director and according to standards set by Customer and RWS
  • Creates and maintains policies and procedures for Account Management Team and assists in the training of other team members in those guidelines
  • Assists in the implementation of the Program's annual SOP, Strategic Operating Plan
  • Works under direction of the Program Director to facilitate timely completion of tasks to sustain daily operations and complete special projects; Assists program team members as necessary
  • Produces word processing documents, including charts and tables. Proofreads and edits correspondence, memoranda, proposals, reports, and other requested documents; Maintain filing systems. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education/Certificates/Licenses/Registrations

BA/BS marketing, business, human resources or related fields with five years relevant work experience. Prefer Recruitment/Staffing Industry experience: 1-3 years plus. Account management experience: 1- 3 years plus.  Management experience: 2 years plus. High volume work environment, particularly in human services, workforce development or an equivalent combination. Experience in sales and large-scale relationship management.  Experience in, or knowledge of issues facing one or more of the following sectors: Food Service and Accommodation, Construction, Administrative and Support and Waste Management and Remediation Services, and/or Retail. Strong background in project planning and/or program management.

Qualifications

Basic understanding of employment laws as they apply to the hiring process. Strong communication and organization skills, computer skills, publishing skills and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.  The ability to relate well with individuals, ability to motivate, and posses experience in working with individuals having one or more barriers to employment.  Knowledge of various job search strategies, resources and actions plans. Ability to follow instructions well.  Adaptable, flexible, and a fast learner. Creative and able to meet deadlines. Works well under pressure and goal oriented and works well within a team concept.
