Position Objective: Manage the demand planning process for commercial
 
The Demand Planning Manager will be responsible for managing the detail demand plan for commercial tire group and will play an instrumental role in setting the long term demand planning process.
 

- Manage the detail demand plan for the commercial tire group. The Demand Planning Manager will be responsible for creating the by item sales plan, tracking actual to plan, along with creating a feedback loop to systematically incorporate internal and external business changes.
• Part of the commercial demand planning team and will have direct responsibility for a defined commercial business unit.
• Spearheading the predictive forecasting effort within the business to gain enhanced visibility to customers’ sales and inventory with the end game of creating a more robust ordering process, directly interacting with the BOSS.
• Work closely with the Sales & Marketing manager to ensure that Bridgestone Commercial Solutions (BCS) Demand Plan is consistent with BCS strategic direction and inline with known supply thresholds.
• Work closely with the Business Forecasting, LSCM, Sales & Marketing to ensure proper communication and coordination across Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations
• Work in cross-functional teams and project work to include, but no limited to the S&OP Enhancement project
• Other duties as required

• Forecasting / Plan Tracking & Reporting
• S&OP Process Improvement
• Excess / Backorder Inventory / Supply Situation


Job Requirements

- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration/and or Engineering related field
• Minimum of 5-6 years experience with a record of continued progression and responsibility
Desired
• MBA is preferred
• Background in Mathematics, Statistics is desired
• Background in manufacturing, transportation and or tire industry, is desired
