POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for monitoring, adjusting and coordinating the allocation of internal and external staffing resources to nursing units across all San Antonio hospitals in support of high quality, cost effective clinical services.

QUALIFICATIONS: A. EDUCATION:High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associate’s degree of formal business training preferred. B. EXPERIENCE:A minimum of one year of experience in a similar role in a staffing agency or related health care setting is required. C. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:None C. EQUIPMENT/SKILLS:1. Must have intermediate level computer word processing and data entry skills; the ability to develop and maintain spreadsheets, correspondence and reports. 2. Must be able to function well in fast-paced, dynamic conditions to assure balanced daily staffing based on census and patient acuity. 3. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. 4. Must be able to deal with professional and administrative staff to resolve any conflicts that might arise and advise others regarding staffing policies, procedures, and regulations of the patient care services department and CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health Care. 5. Must demonstrate a consistently high degree of accuracy in the accomplishment of daily activities, adherence to policies, and evaluation of results.6. Must have basic knowledge of Nursing Service functions and medical terminology.
