Job Description

• Develop and communicate strategies, guidelines, standards related to HighJump WMS
• Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of the applications and data architectures, including the inter-relationships and interfaces between systems and technologies.
• Recognized as a leader in the design and execution of business solutions, demonstrating a broad understanding of the applications and technical architectures.
• Demonstrates expert understanding of applications development processes, serving as a resource to others.
• Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of leading edge technologies and plans for the future of a technology and/or applications area.
• Evaluates the applicability of leading edge technologies and uses this information to significantly influence future IT and/or business strategy.
• Brings technical and/or business systems knowledge from external sources and incorporates those ideas into IT.
• Understands changing business needs for the warehouse management area and recommends strategies for the future.
• Independently identifies, defines, directs, and performs analyses to resolve complex first-time project issues including the analysis of technical and economic feasibility of proposed systems solutions.
• Designs solutions with broad implication for the business and/or the future architecture, successfully addressing cross-technology and cross-platform issues.
• Acts as a technical advisor to project teams, providing special technical expertise.
• Develops partnerships with senior users to understand business needs and define future application requirements.
• Able to balance and negotiate the needs of multiple users and communicate the business advantages of various technical solutions.  Effectively and proactively manages customer expectations.
• Able to effectively communicate highly technical information to numerous audiences, including senior management, the user community, and less-experienced staff.
• Leads the development of effective networks of internal and external customers, suppliers, the technical community, and consultants.
• Functions independently

Job Requirements

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• SQL Server 2005 or newer development experience.
• Exposure to enterprise level SQL Server environments.
• Experience with requirements gathering.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills a must.
• Experience with HighJump’s Development toolset.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with logistics and warehouse management systems.
• Experience with writing Crystal Reports.
• Experience using version control.
• Independently motivated to complete assigned tasks.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred
