The Business Development Analyst will be one of the key representatives of Moody’s Analytics in the Americas region working closely with the Credit Assessment and Origination team including sales and project delivery teams to define, price, advance, and contract software implementation projects with clients.
-Works day-to-day with the Business Development Senior Analyst, program managers, and the Solutions Sales organization to grow the business and ensure value is delivered to clients.
-Responsible for helping the Business Development team attain sales and revenue targets.
-Coaches Sales and Delivery teams on client interactions related to product and solution offerings.
-Proposes service offerings with pricing to clients based upon client requirements and the applicable product suite.
-Documents the pricing and effort strategy for profitability measures at the conclusion of projects.
-Creates legal statements of work for specific client service projects.
-Transitions defined projects to the delivery team for scheduling and execution.
-Contributes to the service and product offering strategy for the regional and global practice.
-Thought leader on business and technical issues related to the practice area, with an Americas regional focus.
-Understands the regional client base and market opportunities in the region for the practice.
-Contributes to strategies to improve profitability of work for the practice within the region.
-Extensive relevant professional experience in a software organization, consultancy or a financial institution
-Familiarity with modern credit risk management techniques
-Experience in managing the sales lifecycle of consulting projects
-Experience with credit risk management software preferred, preferably in a configuration or software development role
-Experience working with varied representatives in financial institutions
-Project management experience beneficial
-Minimum BS or BA degree; MA, MBA or PhD a plus
-Must be flexible with travel, with the potential opportunity for international travel
-Good written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
-Excellent organizational skills
-Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong professional relationships at all levels
-Proven experience in client interaction
-Excellent attention to detail
-Proactive attitude with the ability to multi-task
-Ability to work to tight deadlines
-Ability to work independently
-Ability to take control and self-govern ongoing self-development -Fluency in English, fluency in Spanish highly beneficial
