Nurse Practitioner, Cardiac Surgery Telemetry Program
University of Maryland Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a desire to join our premier multidisciplinary team in our Cardiac Surgery Telemetry Program. The NP provides leadership in the management of patients presenting with complex surgical cardiac diagnoses. Our 23 bed Cardiac Surgery Telemetry Unit serves as a referral center for patients in Maryland and beyond.
The Acute Care NP performs examination, evaluation, assessment and interpretation of clinical data to provide care to patients requiring a variety of cardiac interventions, and other cardiac diagnoses. Professional practice is in conjunction with the RNs, physicians and other members of the team. The scheduling needs include full time, day/evening shifts, with weekend coverage.
The successful candidate will have completed a Nurse Practitioner program at the Masters level, with certification as an Acute Care NP required. Maryland licensure is necessary. Newly graduated Nurse Practitioners with solid cardiac clinical experience are encouraged to apply.

A Master of Science degree, with completion of a Nurse Practitioner Program. Registered and currently recorded with the Maryland Board of Nursing, and certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the area of specialization. A minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse is required.
