JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Description:  The individual filling this job will primarily be responsible for selling beverage grade CO2 into restaurants, bars, fast food locations, and convenience stores.  An equally important part of the job will be to promote nitrogen generators into bars and restaurants for draught beer systems.  Opportunities may also arise to promote and sell CO2 for swimming pool pH control, fire suppression systems, microbrews, and various other applications. 

Reporting Structure:  This position will report to the Sales Manager.

Territory: The position will be based in the metropolitan Birmingham, AL region.  The geography included will include parts of AL, MS and FL. 

Account Base:  The CO2 Gas Specialist will be responsible for all individual locations (i.e. – Mom-and-Pops); will be responsible for franchise locations with HQ in the Territory; and will be responsible for regional accounts with less than 100 locations and HQ in the Territory.

Travel:  It is possible that up to 6 nights per month overnight travel will be required.

Home Office:  The CO2 Gas Specialist will be expected to work from a home office.  A cell phone and laptop are provided by the company.  Monthly cell charges are billed directly to the company.  A monthly stipend, not to exceed $45, is offered to offset the cost of internet and/or fax service.

Skills Required:  Good selling skills and a desire to achieve customer satisfaction are important for success.  Good telephone etiquette is a must and basic computer skills are required, including competency in Outlook, Word and Excel.  Good organizational and planning skills are critical to running a successful territory.

Compensation:  A base salary (paid bi-weekly) is associated with this position.  Additionally, there is the opportunity to earn monthly commissions, based on new and renewal account signings.   Normal Travel & Expenses associated with business travel will be reimbursed on a monthly basis. 

Car:  A personal car is required.  The vehicle should be a late model, suitable for transporting customers, if required.  A monthly car allowance is payable, along with a competitive mileage rate for business miles driven. 

Contingencies:  Prior to hiring, successful completion of a drug test for banned substances is required.  Also, a satisfactory report on the individual’s driving record is required.
